Dear George,
I really don’t understand your position. Where is it written down on your sell and prices conditions that protection foam IS NOT warrantied? (thank you by advance to send me a link to this article on your website, as it was the only way to order an oculus when I did it)
On a 699 € device, don’t you plan your users will wear and use it?
On a 699 € device, don’t you try to find efficiency and quality on components (even if external ones… seems not to…)
On a 699 € device, don’t you feel uncomfortable with your answer? Saying to me that it is normal (wear and tears) if it unsticks… due to usage??? …
Do you think that your car constructor will tell you after 6 months driving that the broken conductor seat is YOUR problem because wear and tears is not covered by the warranty? I don’t think so…
I’m really unsatisfied with oculus support, your ways of dealing my concern are unacceptable.
Well, and so, I will wait for your (expensive again?) spare part availability.
Regards,
Olivier T

Hello Olivier,
Thank you for reaching back out to me. The facial interface didn't arrive in this condition originally which means that this is due to wear and tear over the last 4-5 months of usage. Currently wear and tear is not something that is covered under warranty. The condition of the facial interface depends on the user and how they interact with the Rift and use it over time. We're working on making these available in the future so you can purchase one from our shop. If you need anything else feel free to reach back out and we'd be happy to help.
Sincerely,
George

Hello,
That means there is no waranty ? I need explanations…
I did not use unproperly my rift, so it is clearly a device default…I’m really surprisedand upsetted !
I thought you will send me a new foam to change the unsticking one… taking in account the price of the device and its age (less than 6 months..)
I still no more a happy and friendly rift user
regards

Hi Olivier,
Can I collect both your Rift's serial number and your full shipping address?
The serial number we're looking for is the one on the bottom of the black box, and begins with "WM". This is different than the number on the headset itself.
Thanks in advance,
Xavier

Hello Xavier,
Yes it does, I feel something touching my nose, and that’s uncomfortable.
I don’t feel something sticked to my face on this area, the contact is sporadic, so it tickles permanently.
It began at the end of last week, It hasn’t been progressive and it looks like not to enlarge.
My rift is stored in its box when not used, and the computer room is not warm. (no heating system).
Looking forward, and best regards
Olivier
